Book Gel X
What is Gel X?
Gel X is a soft gel extension for gel X nails in Fresno. Each nail gets a full-cover gel tip sized to fit, attached and cured with gel.
Overview
You get length and shape in about an hour, and it feels lighter than acrylic. When it's time to take it off, it soaks off instead of being filed all the way down.
What's included
- Nail prep
- Tips sized to each nail
- Gel applied and cured under the lamp
- Shaping and finish
- French tip, chrome, cat eye and nail art available as add-ons
Who it's for
- Natural-looking length
- People who find acrylic too heavy
- Almond, coffin or square shapes, short to long
How long it lasts
Gel X usually lasts about three to four weeks before it needs a fill or a fresh set.
Maintenance
Come back for a Gel X Fill around the three-week mark. Try not to use your nails as tools.
How it compares
Compared with acrylic, Gel X is lighter and more flexible, and it soaks off. Acrylic is harder and more rigid. If you want an overlay on your natural nails rather than extra length, look at Gel Builder.
FAQs
Is Gel X the same as acrylic?
No. Gel X uses pre-shaped soft gel tips and gel, not acrylic powder and liquid. It feels lighter and soaks off.
Is Gel X bad for your nails?
Peeling or pulling Gel X can hurt your natural nail, so ask the salon about removal.
Can I get designs on Gel X?
Yes. French tip, chrome, cat eye and nail art can all go on top.
