Gel X is a soft gel extension. Each nail gets a full-cover gel tip sized to fit, attached and cured with gel. You get length and shape in about an hour, and it feels lighter than acrylic. When it's time to take it off, it soaks off instead of being filed all the way down.

How often should I get a fill?
Every two to three weeks for most people.
One of my nails broke. Can you fix it during the fill?
Usually, yes. Mention it when you arrive so we can plan the time.
How long does a full set take?
About an hour. Longer nails or detailed art can add a little time.
Does acrylic ruin your natural nails?
Not when it's put on and taken off properly. Most damage comes from picking or ripping acrylic off, so let us remove it when you're ready.
Can I switch from acrylic to Gel X?
Yes. We take the acrylic off first, then apply Gel X. Acrylic removal is booked as its own service.
Is Gel X the same as acrylic?
No. Gel X uses pre-shaped soft gel tips and gel, not acrylic powder and liquid. It feels lighter and soaks off.
Is Gel X bad for your nails?
Not when it's removed properly. Soaking it off instead of peeling it protects your natural nail.
Can I get designs on Gel X?
Yes. French tip, chrome, cat eye and nail art can all go on top.
When should I book a Gel X Fill?
Around three weeks after your set, before the tips start lifting.
A tip came off. Can you replace it?
Yes. Let us know when you arrive and we'll replace it during your fill.
